I absolutely love books. Collecting them, reading them, decorating with them. Someday I will have a room that is dedicated to housing my books, my own little library that will be my safe haven. Books help me dream, relax, escape. When the pressures of life are weighing me down, a good book will almost always put me at ease.
What types of books do you like to read you might ask. Any and all, well almost all. I even read books that I don’t like or that bore me. Why? Because I feel like you can always learn something from any book. Just like people you may not agree or like everything about a person, but you can always gain knowledge from listening and being around others not like you.
Recently I decided to get some insight regarding a situation that I had put off for way too long. It was like having a splinter. You know how it is, for a while it’s just annoying but then you bump it or apply pressure and it really hurts. Then you get distracted again and you forget about it because you don’t have tweezers to get it out and finally when you can’t stand it anymore you take it out. Only to realize that if you would have taken the time to find the tweezers you could have saved yourself a lot of pain. Well, I was at the place of removing the splinter but I needed some wise tips to help me figure out how to do the painful scraping out of the tiny lodged now festering splinter. (Gross analogy, but you get the point).
Where was I going to find this wise information that I needed, BOOKS of course! I started researching and come up with all of the books I needed and then this happened…
Sigh, can you say book overload. I literally laughed at myself because there is no way I am going to get through all of that information in the timeframe necessary. I think I got excited about getting new books and forgot why I was buying them. Needless to say, but I will be an expert on this topic by the time I get through the pile of books.
As you can see, I love books of any kind.
