The Chase by Lisa Harris is the second book in the US Marshalls series. Although the characters carry over from the first book, each can be read as a stand-alone. From the start, the suspense and chase begin and takes you on twists and turns until the last page. The storyline was fast-paced and engaging. The characters are well developed and believable. The relationship between the two main characters is underdeveloped and slow in my opinion. For romantic suspense, the romance is a bit lacking but it makes up for it with the suspense. Even still, it’s a great book to pick up if you are looking for suspense with twists and turns right from the start!
