Most likely to never finish reading it and deserves no further mention.
Not great, but tolerable. Writing is not well done. Characters are cheesy or very unlikable. Minor editing glitches but not enough to stop you reading. You wouldn't re-read it. Not likely to recommend to a friend.
Not a waste of time, but not memorable. Plot, characters and writing style have merit. May falter but will keep you reading. Will recommend it to a friend, but it wouldn’t go on your keeper shelf.
Very memorable and a delight to read. Writing style, characters and plot are well developed. Highly likely to recommend it to your friends. Deserves a spot on your bookshelf. Stay up late to keep reading!
Excellent! Putting it down is not an option. Loved the characters and the plot. Start checking authors back list. The writing and editing were superb. Most favorite authors fit this category.
