Book Title: Hope Your Heart Needs
Author: Holley Gerth

Understanding more of God’s character and how he loves us changed bestselling author Holley Gerth’s life in beautiful, powerful ways. She realized that she didn’t have to settle for “I’m fine” when there was someone whispering to her in every moment, “You’re mine.” The hope, joy, peace, and purpose she longed for were already there, in the heart of God.

With 52 devotionals, this little book makes for a great start to your morning and an easy routine to keep. Each one begins with a scripture followed by a short devotion and closes with a prayer. Life is challenging for all of us in different ways. By understanding who God is, we can face those challenges head on and not with an “I’m fine” attitude but with hope. I look forward to starting my morning off with words that encourage and these devotions do just that. Holley has labeled each devotion with a characteristic of God. It was a simple reminder throughout the day about who HE is and how HE loves us. This would make a great gift for any woman in your life – especially yourself!

Book Title: Praying With Jane
Author: Rachel Dodge

The charm of Jane Austen and her novels has been enjoyed for over 200 years by readers around the world. Much has been written about her fascinating life, yet little is known about Jane’s spiritual side. In this lovely 31-day devotional, you will get an in-depth look at Miss Austen’s vibrant, steadfast prayer and faith life. Her intimate relationship with the Father comes to life through her exquisite prayers, touching biographical anecdotes, intimate excerpts from family letters and memoirs, and illuminating scenes from her novels.

In this 31 day devotional you will explore Jane Austen’s personal prayers that were written during her evening prayer. By reading and studying these prayers, you will feel as if you are getting to know Jane and her faith. Scriptures are used throughout the devotions to bring Jane’s prayers to light. Even though it is a devotional, it is written as such that anyone can read and gain understanding and insight into Jane’s faith journey. You also do not need to be a devoted reader of Austen’s works (although who wouldn’t be) in order to be encouraged and inspired by the words that are so eloquently broken down and presented. At the end of each devotion is a reflection and prayer that will inspire you daily in your faith. Whether you are an avid Jane Austen fan, simply looking for a devotional or just interested in learning about Jane’s faith, this book is highly recommended. Such an elegant, joyful read that matches Jane’s writing style!

Book Title: Cozy Minimalist: More Style, Less Stuff
Author: Myquillyn Smith

Cozy Minimalism isn’t about going without or achieving a particular new, modern style. Nope. It’s simply a mindset that helps you get whatever style YOU LOVE with the fewest possible items. You want a warm, cozy, inviting home, without using more resources, money, and stuff than needed. Why use more if you don’t have to?

The first book I read and purchased by Myquillyn was The Nesting Place. When I was asked to be part of a launch group for her second book, I couldn’t pass up the chance at getting an inside look. After reading the first few chapters, I pre-ordered my own copy! She writes as though you are sitting and discussing your home with a friend. The book is full of ideas and steps to take to create a home you will love. It’s not about minimalism, nor simply home decorating. It’s about finding a space that is cozy and not packed full of “stuff” that you have to manage. If you are looking for practical solutions, ideas and inspiration for minimizing your decor to become something you adore, then this book is for you. It would make a beautiful coffee table book. I would recommend this for yourself or to give as a gift to a friend, sister, mother-in-law or teacher!

*I was not given this book to review, but rather purchased on my own. I’m reviewing it because it’s that good and you should know it!*
